The hall was easy to reach and situated in a calm area. The bed was clean and comfortable, the kitchen had modern appliances, and the hot chocolate was heavenly. The shower provided a nice, warm refreshment after a long day's work. Car parking was good, and the staff were all pleasant and helpful. The audio tour of the hall and its Quaker history is a must-do.
Felt well taken care of, nothing was too much trouble.

The hotel offers a self-service breakfast box, which was a delightful surprise. It was like having a little picnic in the morning, with a variety of cereals and preserves to choose from. The breakfast box even had fruit juice, tea, and coffee, making it a perfect start to the day.
Limited extra bed space.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was quiet, clean, bright, and comfortable. The hotel grounds were lovely, and I enjoyed taking walks straight from the door. The onsite tea room offered good value with a wide selection of drinks and cakes. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. I also appreciated the flexibility of the breakfast setup, with breakfast being left in the breakfast room in a basket, allowing me to choose my own timings. Additionally, having access to a fridge in the breakfast room was convenient for storing other food items.
Nothing not too like.

The location of this hotel was ideal, just a short drive away from the local town. It felt like being in the middle of nowhere, but still close to amenities. The breakfast offered at the hotel was well thought out and reasonably priced. I particularly enjoyed the variety of cereals, jams, toast, and juices that were provided every morning.
One issue I had during my stay was with the housekeeping. They forgot to clean my room one day and I had to go to reception to get a replacement towel.

The hotel was very conveniently located, making it easy to explore the nearby village. The hall itself was well presented, with nice decorations and high-quality fixtures and fittings. I also enjoyed the self-service continental breakfast, which had a wholesome selection of food.
There were a few negative aspects of my stay. there were no TVs in the bedrooms, which might not be a problem for a short stay but could be inconvenient for longer stays.

swarthmoor hall exceeded my expectations during this romantic stay in ulverston. loved the grand hall, comfortable rooms, and the shared lounge/kitchen. felt safe as a single traveler.
Arrival in the dark was unnerving, no staff on site to assist.

A self-service breakfast box with minimal effort, just what I need in the morning. Plus, the Lake District is just a short drive away, so I can pretend I'm an adventurous hiker without actually having to hike.
Who needs a TV in the shared lounge? I prefer awkwardly sitting in silence with strangers.

I recently stayed at the charming Swarthmoor Hall for a few nights and it was a delightful experience. The historic building exuded a peaceful and calming atmosphere, which was perfect for escaping the harsh weather outside. The Friendship Room, with its beautiful decor, provided a cozy retreat. The breakfast box filled with goodies was a lovely touch, and the onsite cafe offered fantastic soup. The clean and comfortable rooms, along with the picturesque grounds, made for a tranquil stay. The staff were incredibly helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. Great value for money in this lovely old Manor house.
I do recommend this hotel.
